Future Melbourne Events
Melbourne has opened its doors to discussion, hosting a series of Future Melbourne forums and events.
Events will be held at venues around Melbourne, as well as online in the Future Melbourne wiki.
Everyone will be talking and the city will be listening.

Digital Harbor Art Making and Exhibition
Monday 12 May to Monday 16 June
Art making acitivites at Digital Harbour Theatrette until Friday 6, June.
The Future Melbourne Art Exhibition will run from Monday, 9 June until Sunday, 15 June 2008. This exhibition will showcase a range of professional artists, students, youth and general public art work.
Entries into the Art Exhibition are open until Friday, 6 June.
There are several art prizes which will be awarded on Friday, 13 June. These are open to artists, students and members of the public- for artworks responding to the theme of 'Future Melbourne' in the following three categories:
Future Melbourne Prize- Valued at $3,000
Open to practicing artists and university art and design students
Future Melbourne Open Art Prize- Valued at $1,000
Open to members of the public
Future Melbourne Youth Art Prize- Valued at $1,000
Open to members of the public between the ages of 12-18.

Talking Docklands
OPEN CHANNEL, in association with City of Melbourne and Portable Content, is combining community story-telling and portable movies in a new project for a new suburb. TALKING DOCKLANDS focuses on the stories of people that live and work in suburb 3008.
TALKING DOCKLANDS showcases the personal tales of the residents of this developing Melbourne suburb. Whether it is a social commentary told from a historical perspective, immersed deep within the rich maritime history of the area or from the viewpoint of its latest inner-city dwellers, TALKING DOCKLANDS examines the changing face of one of Melbourne's most innovative pieces of land, and is done so by 8 exciting new storytellers.
The Talking Docklands video will be featured at Digital Harbour from Monday, 9 June to Sunday, 15 June, be sure to call in to the art exhibition and view.
Victorian Eco Innovation Lab (VEIL) Workshop
Invite only to be held at the Future Melbourne Art Exhibition in early June. The
Victorian Eco- Innovation Lab (VEIL) is working on a vision for a mini-city within the city, a new sustainable precinct on an exiting site within Melbourne. VEIL, a Melbourne University program aimed at stimulating social, technical and infrastructure innovation in the face of the challenges of climate change, has focused on creating 25 year visions for a sustainable Victoria.
