Project partners
The plan developed through the Future Melbourne project will guide the City of Melbourne in its actions for the next decade until 2020 – and beyond.
The Future Melbourne project has many project partners who are contributing to the development of the Future Melbourne plan.

The University of Melbourne
The University of Melbourne, an integral part of all aspects of the city’s development since its establishment in 1853, is proud to be involved in Future Melbourne.
The University’s involvement in Future Melbourne is knowledge transfer in action. It enables staff and students to engage directly with the city, its enterprises and its people in a process that will benefit from, and add credence to, the University's international reputation for academic excellence.

The Australian Conservation Foundation is committed to inspiring people to achieve a healthy environment for all Australians. Committee for Melbourne
The Committee for Melbourne represents the highest levels of 170 organisations from the business sector as well as science, academia, community and government.

Victorian Council of Social Service
The Victorian Council of Social Service is the peak independent coordinating body of the social and community services sector. The council raises awareness of the existence, causes and effects of poverty and inequality, and advocates for the development of a sustainable, fair and equitable society.

The Global Cities Institute was inaugurated in 2006 to bring together key researchers at RMIT University working on the processes of globalization, climate change and sustainability in the urban context.
This research involves understanding the complexity of globalizing urban settings from provincial centres to mega-cities.
